Default Italian Carbine Bayonets from MidwayUSA

Just saw that Midway has Italian M1 Carbine bayonets on clearance and decided to order one. Hard to go wrong at $27 shipped. Does anyone have any experience with these?

It's funny that the Grade 1 ($22.56) are cheaper than the Grade 2 ($34.99)

Grade 1 - $22.56 - Excellent to New/Unissued - Military Surplus Italian M1 Carbine Bayonets will be clean and show little signs of use. Small amounts of oil may be present on the blade and light blemishes on the handle. Due to long term storage most will be missing small amounts of paint from the scabbard.

Grade 2 - $34.99 - Good to Very Good - Bayonets may show signs of use. Light debris and scratches may be present on the scabbard and bayonet. The handle may have painted numbers or initials on them. Blade may need a touch up, but no serious nicks or blemishes on the blade.)

Default I ordered 5

Ordered five (5) Grade 1.
Four were Grade 1, about 99+% with excellent sheaths.
One was "Grade 1" but used, blade about 50% finish, certainly used, sheath worn and I would call it Grade 2. But, for the price, free shipping, I didn't bother to complain. Four nice bayonets off-set the single.

The bad one was probably an earlier return that an unscrupulous buyer swapped out with a lesser condition grade 2, then returned the "grade 1" for a refund. That could have happened long before the clearance pricing. This has been a long time problem with Midway's surplus items. I have returned several grade 1 items over the past couple years that were obviously swapped out with lower grade items. The lenient Midway return policy is both a blessing and a curse.
