Thanks for the info, guys. I may take the plunge.

Also, I see the e-store has a basic web sling, a mat and other shooting equipment like gloves. Is this stuff available for sale at the park or would I need to get it beforehand?

I don’t see Modern Military listed.Maybe because it’s so controversial.

Could be because ARs and the like had nothing to do with D-Day?

Unfortunately it can be a bit hit or miss at the store during big events since so many people are there. They'll likely have that stuff, but even last fall at the 600 I wanted to look at gloves and there were no left hand gloves. Just my opinion, but I have never been disappointed in any piece of Creedmoor Sports gear, from gloves to jackets to mats to stools, etc. And a lot of it is made right there in Anniston.

It was already mentioned the gear at the park is "hit or miss". True words. What you could do is get there early enough to drop by Creedmoor in Aniston. Call and talk to Brent beforehand and he will fix you up. If you are in a jam you would surprised at how many people will offer to lend you gear.

Either way, hope there is a big turnout. We always have fun at these matches!

If my son or a friend tag along, is it allowed for shooters to share rifles? I don't know other folks locally that have mil-surp rifles, so I was just wondering if I would need to fly solo or if, for instance, my son wanted to come along if he could shoot in a different relay with my rifle(s).

Yes, you may share rifles. Just make a note when you register or email Christina at competitions@thecmp.org to let her know so she can make sure you are squadded on separate relays.
