Then, in my load data, 100 rounds 30-06 loaded with bullet ABC, case lot HPX Lot B, Primer WLR Lot H, 47 grains 4064 Lot F.
When you say Lot F or Lot H, is F & H your own arbitrarily set lot ID? Not the Lot # set on the powder/primers themselves?

Just started reading about this s/w tool, and as a reloader, it sounds interesting. Plus my gun collection is expanding, too... :-)

One brainstorm idea I just had relative to the "recipe" tool is that perhaps the inventory piece of the tool could allow you to input not just batch/lot/etc, but also your purchase price for the components. Then each specific recipe would calculate a cost per round for you? Finally as already stated above, it could subtract the quantity from the initial inventory, giving you real time on-hand reporting for all components.

That's how I plan for it to work in the end, actually. I have a spreadsheet I'm converting that helps figure out all the costs involved with reloading to see how much it'd cost to recoup your costs and all that. I'm sketching up the recipe system and figuring our more of the details while I work on the mobile app interface. I'll be switching between the two to keep things moving along.

I record the lot numbers from each powder container and each brick of primers. When I print out my labels this info goes on each one just in case there is a recall I can easily identify which ammo is effected.

Wolfrage:

I don't know if it makes any difference but I would list these items but in the following order:

Powder:
Type-Brand-Amount-Notes
Primers:
Type-Brand-Amount-Notes
Bullets:
Caliber-Type-Brand-Amount-Notes
Brass:
Caliber-Brand-Amount-Notes
