As stated in the original description, these are only painted bullets. When i bought them I was they were painted by the last military who used them.

Yes, I understand that they are dummy cartridges. My point is, are the bullets original APT from the WW II experimentals, or, are they some other bullet that has been painted to look like an APT. You would have to pull one to find out.

Quoted from original post.: "Rounds are only painted like original API and APT..."

Sorry if that didn't make it clear enough, but as far as I know these are standard bullets, not real API or APT.

It's beginning to get confusing. I read your IP, but later you said that "the military painting these had some reason"' implying that they were not necessarily Gun Show fakes but legitimate military rounds.

Old bullets that were rejects, seconds, or left overs, we're often used to make dummy cartridges. I was curious if these were such.

Ray, these were purchased from a source whom I consider reputable that stated they are not real API or APT, but we're painted as such by "a military," unknown to me. Nothing to do with a gunshow and no intent to deceive as implied by calling them fakes. I'd be more than happy to sell you a set of API for evaluation. I also appreciate all the bumps.

Blockhead

I certainly did not mean to imply that your cartridges were fakes. I collect the US Military cartridges and was simply trying to find out what the bullets may be.

"Painted by a military unknown to me" is what is confusing.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
