Default 1919 Colt 1911 Field Grade

I recently received up my Field Grade Colt (RGN 9033). The frame and slide appear correct for the serial number and it dates to early 1919. I believe the hammer, thumb safety, grip safety and front/rear sights are original to the firearm from looking at similar parts at the "coolgunsite" web page. I can't tell for sure if the finish is the original or if it had been parkerized at some point, but it does have a great patina to it. It shows one rebuild at Augusta Arsenal. The rear sight is pretty worn down and made it a bit tough for my old eyes to shoot at the range. The staff at the CMP were wonderful; they must feel like Santa Claus everyday by bringing such joy and happiness to us "older" kids!

I believe that if it were original finish the feed ramp would be polished, no?

I thought that too about the feed ramp, but the serial number does not appear that it has been parkerized.
