Default 16" SA 1919 bayonet without serial number?

I have a 16" SA 1919 bayonet without a serial number under the U S marking ? It does not appear to have been removed, is having no serial number something RARE?

Two quick reasons for no number: (1) Lunch box special. (2) Blade junked in process prior to numbering and later salvaged. I have never seen an un-numbered, Springfield Arsenal made, Model of 1905 bayonet.
