Default Got mine.

Got it a few weeks back but just havent posted till today.
1914 Colt frame. RR slide.

Considering trying to trade into a Colt slide that will match in terms of color.
Holler if you wanna swap.
No rebuild marks on the frame or anywhere else.
Odd?

Not odd many have no rebuild marks at all. Clawson stated not all were marked! And many others to. I have seen many in near 50 years not all uncommon.

Sure a hell wish you'd make yer cotton pickin' pics BIGGER!!!

Seriously...

It's just another Late WWII (or POST-WWII) Arsenal/Depot build consisting of a WWI receiver/WWII slide/ and a mix of M1911/M1911A1 parts holdin' it together!!!

Beginning to think it's the norm in the ARMY MUSEUM SYSTEM crates!!!

Nice lookin' FRANKENGUN...exactly the right size for GIGANTHROPITHECUS!!!

Neither your receiver or slide are original finish!!!

I intially thought the receiver might be...BUT then I saw that the IDIOT MARKS under the SLIDE RELEASE & the final inspector mark (WGP in the circle) were parkerized!!!

PARTING SHOT:

I referred to your pistol as a FRANKENGUN 'cuz of the GIGANTHROPIC size of yer pics!!!
