Default ammo id

I found this ammo at a friends house and said if anyone can help figure it out it would be the great members of the C.M.P. I know there is a link for ammo id on this forum but I dont speak Spanish and out here where I live no-one else does either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Top of round 4 54
Left side TH
Right side S
Bottom 7.62

If anyone has a website that is in English that would be great also. Thanks again in advance.

The TH headstamp is either from Royal Ordnance Factory Thorp Arch, Thorp Arch, England or Unknown Factory, France.

According to: http://www.cartridgecollectors.org/headstampcodes.htm

The ammo you describe is French, made at;
Cartoucherie de la Seine (Groupememtn des Trefileries du Havre) Rugles, France and was made for the French Military, under contract in the early 1950's when the NATO alliance was going strong. The date is the 4-54 (April 1954). The 'S' identifies Compagnie Francaise des Meteaux, Serifontaine, France which is the site that made the case.

My reference is The Cartridge Guide by Ivan V. Hogg and shows drawings, which helped me in making a pretty positive ID.

www.cartridgecollector.org is a great site for ammo questions and I hang out there a lot but its a bunch of excentric collectors so visitor beware.
