Default Gas pad wear

I have a decent barrel but one of the gas pads is barely out of spec. Can metal be added to the pad to bring it back into spec ?
Thanks.

How are you taking the measurement? Is your rifle malfunctioning?

You could chrome the pads, but that wouldn’t be cost effective. You could find a saw cut gas cylinder too. Or, often you can peen the splines to drive the gas cylinder up and reduce any blow by.

Thank you. I'm going to try a saw cut gas cylinder on it.
