Default Treeline M14E2 stock recoil pad

I just saw that Treeline offers a recoil pad that replaces the issue M14E2 rubber butt pad. It eliminates the entire assembly with folding metal shoulder support.

Has anyone used this Treeline butt pad unit ? Is it the same hard rubber (slick rubber) pad material as the original butt pad is ?

My issue with the M14E2 stock is it slips off my shoulder while in the prone supported position. THis is the problem I am trying to find a solution for but $75 for Treelines butt pad is money wasted if its rubber is hard and slick which does nothing to help my issue.

My M14E2 stock has a after market butt plate/pad assembly. I have a spare rubber butt pad as well for it. I am thinking if Treeline pad is not going to help me, I might try Skate Board tape on this after market rubber butt pad that I have and see if the friction of that tape helps me out .

In the prone, with a rifle rest, with scope mounted as low as possible , with strap on cheek riser pad and butt plate slipping off my shoulder, its just not working well at all for me. That butt slipping off my shoulder is frustrating .

I have one and it look and works well. It has a smooth surface so it may not work any better for you than a steel pad, but I don't have any trouble with mine. I also have a full case of these stocks. I wish someone would make another run of GI style butt plates so I could get some proper hardware on them.
