Default My "Used" Daisy 853

So I ordered a (Used) Daisy Model 853 from the CMP the other day.
It is used, but seems to be in good shape.

On one side of the receiver it is marked power line 853 and the other side with a US, does this mean it was used as a trainer?

Super fast shipping as I faxed my order in on Tuesday afternoon and got the rifle on Friday !!

Best $115.00 I have spent in a long time…….

+1 I've been eyeing these on every trip to The North Store. For the cost if they can keep up with my rim fires at 25 yards they are a no brainer. My experience with air rifles has only been with BB guns.

I assume these are much better than a typical BB gun BUT we all know the meaning of ASSUME !!! I'd also like to know if there is a difference in the types of air guns that The CMP has for sale. It seems like there were a few different types at the NS.

I too have been thinking about ordering one of these. What all came with this in the box? I see a sight on one of your pics.

Mine came with all the stuff pictured plus nice adjustable rear peep sight.

Improved my m1 match scores by practicing my positions, breathing, trigger control with the pellet rifle at home.

Thanks for the info...it helped solidify my decision, and I just faxed over an order for 1 each for my 2 boys.

I can't say enough how much I think these are the best things going at the CMP at the moment. I bought one with a Monte Carlo stock a few years ago and have competed with it a few times. $400 new or $100 from the CMP. You can't argue that value.

The two I ordered both were with the Monte Carlo stocks. So how does the fax order on these work, am I going to get an email, will it show up in the e-store, or will these just show up at my door one day?

Mine came with everything in the pictures.
It showed up in the e store, then when to history and I got it the next day.
I faxed mine to the North store on a Tuesday and received the rifle on Friday,
Your mileage may vary............
I saw one with the Monte Carlo stock and the stock is very nice for shooting,
May have to get one with that type of stock also.

I faxed mine to the number on the order form, didn't know there was a difference whether it went to the North or South store.
