Default sling for garand match

Hi, can anyone tell me if the Turner national match leather sling is OK for Garand matches (as in the cmp Eastern games?) If so, what length is best for a garand? They come in 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 inch lengths.
thanks

Yes, a Turner sling is indeed legal.

I use a 52 on my Garand and I am a big boy. It is hard to get one too long, you can always trim the tag end of the long strap.

I got to a match without my sling. I had some web strapping and plastic keepers in my truck. I made a sling in about two minutes with my pocket knife. It worked so well I use it all the time now. Goes well with my oven mit shooting glove and carpet shooting mat. More money for reloading components.

Ive used both the canvas web sling and a turner leather and biothane slings when I shot the AR in highpower . I actually prefer the canvas web sling over the traditional sling. I shot the same scores ,but I prefer the ease of use of the web sling.Everyones different so try them both and decide.
