Default Anyone own an ATI GI clone?

I’m thinking about ordering an American Tactical 5” clone and wondered if anyone has one.
Any information on how it shoots, if you had to change recoil springs, etc, is appreciated.
FYI, at the present time I only shoot ball ammo but if you run something other than ball, feel free to express an opinion on how it cycles.

I have one of the ATI 1911 GI clones. It was greasy and a bit dirty when I received it. I cleaned completely and properly lubed it.

I have shot standard ball ammo, hollow points and reloads (ball and cast lead). All have shot well in the pistol. I had a couple of FTFs with the first couple clips but no malfunctions since then.

I went out and bought one. First 1911 I have owned but I will second it was very oily when received. I think its a great shooter—accurate and I put 100 shots of ball ammo threw it without any issues. I was surprised at the quality given the fact it was $350.

These guns are made on some old Colt Series 70 machinery in the Philippines I belive.

They are a great deal and usually work great.

I have a GI model and it's awesome.

It'll be interesting to see how the ATI compares to my Tisas.
A friend of mine recently bought a Colt 1991 and he wants to compare the Colt, Tisas and ATI at the range.
