Default I won't be ordering a M1911 from CMP

There will be more for you guys!

Reason, over the past couple years managed to find a M1911 and a M1911A1. That was enough for me, the Remington Rand was just like the one I had while unit armorer at HHQ 109thMI Bn Ft. Lewis back in 1986-87 time frame.
Good luck guys!

Me neither. I've been promised a mint condition Rem Rand when a dear friend passes on. Not really wanting to collect on that though...

I have six, Colt 1911, Remington Rand 1911A1 - RIA rebuild, Ithica - Ogden rebuild, and three Colt USMC M45A1 1911s.

Rolling the dice, hoping for an nice one to add to the collection.

I have a very decent Remington Rand M1911A1 and a 1918 Colt (worn but original) and I decided to forego it, as well.

I admit, if I had the chance to get a Springfield M1911 I'd do that, but I know what the chances of THAT would be!!

Good luck to the rest of you guys!

A good friend of mine, has had all 4 of the WWII 1911's by the early 1980's. (I don't count the 'S Mfg' Singer, because no one is ever gonna get one, short of 50 grand). And I doubt my friend has $1000. into all 4 of his together... So he did not apply... Myself and 3 other friends got ours in at the 11th hour...
