Surplus UK 30-06?

Just saw this today and can’t find any information on it. Surplus UK Sportwaffen 30-06? Anyone ever heard of this stuff? It’s a better price than most other 30-06, but worth it??

Headstamp would make positive identification more certain. Just "UK" doesn't mean much and the disclaimer is a bit evasive.

Depending on when it was made , Made In United Kingdom could mean it was made in India.

Never use ammo from any country where ya can't drink the water.

India was part of the British Commonwealth, not at all the same thing as “The United Kingdom”. Bet the Ammo is Kynoch mfg. There has been some of that kicking around lately.

You’re focused on the “UK” in the description. Look up ” Sportwaffen”. It is German surplus.

A German sales organization...they mfg nothing. The ammo was packaged in Germany.

This seller has the same KYNOCH ammo.

I can’t find any information on it and nobody has any pictures of the headstamp or original boxes.

Yep, and even the same lot# as the OP. So 50's production.....

Good chance the ammo has corrosive primers.
