Mine was the same as what was described in the linked thread, fits perfectly, but I have not put a scope on it yet. For less than 1/10th the price of a USGI one, I can deal with the repro factor.
    Looking for 2416903...

      Winnie & Shomway,
Thanks to both of you. I plan on calling Numrich tomorrow to see if the mounts are still on sale.

Yes, but they are not the same as the original WW2 mounts. The mounts currently available from G&H are aluminum, with a different roll mark than found on USGI mounts. Also, they are quite a bit more expensive than the Numerich mounts.

They do indeed, not identical to the originals but still pretty classy. The rings are 1" inside diameter instead of the original 7/8", so mount a modern 1" scope or buy the Brownell's reducers and mount a 7/8" M81/82/84 scope. They are roll-stamped "GRIFFIN & HOWE, NEW YORK" without the patent date and are the commercial model. High quality and still preferable to the ChiCom mfd. model IMHO.

The upper housing is indeed an aluminum alloy; the rings, levers and guts are steel.

I have 2 CMP M1-Cs still for sale. Both with CMP certs and verification letters.
