Mine just flies to 300 hundred yards, then drops straight down to the ground...
Seriously, I wonder what the holdover would have to be at 500? And, if you were shooting at something you wanted dead, what velocity would be left to penetrate it?
M1 carbine is awesome within 100 yards, outside of that, not so much. Great home defense gun.

173 ft/lb and about 225" at 500yds. That is with it zeroed at 100yds.
