Default WTS - WRA WIN-13 M1 Garand (price reduced)

Final reduction - $2800.

WRA WIN-13 M1 Garand s/n 1615xxx. A very nice restoration done by Mr. ‘Mac’ McCollum likely based on an April, 1945 Winchester barreled receiver with original finish. Per Canfield's "The M1 Garand Rifle", Table #3 - the serial number was likely stamped on the receiver 3 Apr 1945. I purchased this several years ago from Scott Duff when he was working with the family to move parts of Mr. McCollum’s collection. I have not fired this rifle and it is in the condition in which I received it. I think it’s a very nice example. I enjoy the hunt of new items for my collection and have another item I’m after, now. I will include the Data Sheet and letter of provenance provided by Scott Duff with the sale. See the photos below.

Parts breakdown:
Receiver – D 28291 WIN-13. Finish is very nice and appears original to me. Well marked heel.
Barrel – ‘PW’ in oval proof, ‘2’ and ‘9’ stamped on right side. MW = 1+, TE < 3, Bore is bright, sharp lands, no chrome at gas port, excellent crown and threads. There is one small area of crud / corrosion in the bore that I have been unable to completely remove. It may be reduced by firing but, I have not done so. WRA arched lower band and solid pin.
Trigger Housing – ‘D28290-W.R.A.’ – very good condition, cloverleaf hole, large pad. Forged ‘C 46025 W.R.A.’ trigger guard, good lugs, WRA ‘A’ marked trigger, hammer spring plunger with wings.
Hammer – C-46008-1W.R.A.
Safety – WRA-1
Bullet Guide – WRA forged, punch marked
Follower Assembly – WRA non-serif ‘13’
Follower Arm – WRA single bevel

Rear Sight – knurled type 2 lockbar, WRA windage and elevation knobs, WRA base, no-track aperture and cover.
Bolt – D28287-1W.R.A., no step, with hole, punch marked
