Default $195 Rockola Handguard??

While looking for a birch handguard to replace the Underwood that came with my M2 Rockola (Underwood is chewed at the nose and missing a rivet) I found this:

$195 Rockola handguard--
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=263602_263622

I figured it was just one crazy Ebayer until I found this $102 Winchester with four bids--

What the heck?? Am I missing something here? Are handguards really this valuable?? When did THAT happen?

I think I am in the wrong business... I need to get out of the buying business and get into the selling business!

Amen. The price on that guard is $130 less than I spent on the boltless carbine!

You may call me an idiot, been called a lot worse, but if I was really really interested in making a Rocky complete and had plenty of money then I wouldn't blink an eye. Especially if it was the only one that I could find and it matched the finish.

As far as M1's go it's turning more and more into a seller's market. Especially since the CMP has a finite supply.
