Definitely avoid the mentioned vendor and his aliases, but also do research on the early parts to make sure they are legit. There can be honest sellers that don't know they have a repro. Parts may be passed on, etc. It's an ugly part of the hobby.

RiverBank: AKA- Early days on GB: Mitzi, M1CarbinePartsdotNET, abcleigh, and about 6-7 years ago as No Guts No Glory.... Who did sell legit at first... then repro, from a different address.. I believe Modesto.
On Ebay: xyzleigh and Mitzi ( IIRC is the cat)

Countless stories about them like this:

Anyone remember the Humped Carbine barrels ?

Try Eddy Yuja, IMO one of the best, Pleasant guy if not in Germany and hung over LOL: https://www.gunbroker.com/All/search...Sellers=447337

+1 on Eddie Yuja & Bill Ricca. If not them, get to know who the guys here on the forum who have the "good stuff" and buy from them. Most times I've bought M1 Garand or carbine parts (or entire guns) it's been through this forum and I've never been disappointed.

I had a discussion with him once regarding a WWII "Birch" cartouched stock he had on ebay. His response, "that's the way I bought it and that's the way I'm selling it"....so don't expect any honesty and/or expertise from him.

Col b,
Just to be clear,

Thx,
