Default AZ Patriot

Hello to all from sunny Arizona. I am very impressed with the level of knowledge from the individuals on this web site. It is for sure the majority of you have knowledge and experiences much greater than my own. I hope this leads me to finding a Kimber 82, 22LR but, time will answer that. I hope to share more later on this topic.

Greetings to the valley of the sun. Will you keep your Kimber the fridge? The Phoenix furnace has been known to cause meltdowns.

That sounds like a good idea but, my Colt 1911 functions better when it's hot. I've been liveing in Phoenix since 1969 at which time I came to Phoenix via the Air Force and to Luke AFB in Glendale (adjacent to Phoenix). Every year I say I am going to leave and every year I forget what I said.

Thanks for the comment!

Hello again,

Yes it is true that we lost one of our seniors from AZ a few months back. It was pretty much agreed based on this mans life he no doubt went straight to hell. So, when he returned after only a few days to get his coat he let us know Hell wasn't all that bad but, based on AZ it is a bit cooler.

Now for more serious stuff.

A short time back I purchased a Anschutz 1985 Mod. 64 Silhouette. I never dreamed I could ever own one of these guns due to cost but now I do. But, and there always seems to be a but, the prior owner felt he needed to reduce the weight so he went to work on the stock with a knife and files. It looks hedious. Does anyone know where I might be able to pick up a used stock for this rifle? I suspect a new one would cost more than the rifle did.

Thanks for your help.

The AZ Patriot (Wayne)
