GP11 has dried up for now but it might come back if the stash in Switzerland hasn't run out...seems to be imported in waves. Get some PPU, it is just about as good and has great reloadable brass (and if you don't reload, save it and sell it to us here)!

I don't reload, but I'll save the brass for you guys. Out of curiosity, when you reload you use a .308 bullet?

Yes, I use the .308 168gr Hornady BTHP because it does so well in my Garands and Springfields so I have a bunch. I need to try some other weights though.

I've just spent the last 30 minutes on line trying to find any 7.5x55 and I'm having no luck. Are there any sources or are we all temporarily (I hope) SOL?

If I remember right the Swiss stopped making GP11 in 1995 and are surplusing it overseas oldest stuff first. I bought a case about 4 years ago that was from 1979 and the case I bought last year was from 1992, so it's possible the end is near.

BigEd. What scope are you using with the St Marie clip on?

Funny thing...I was in a small pizza restaurant in Havanna, FL two days ago, and of all things to have in a pizza restaurant, the owner had a small display case with a few slings for sale, cleaning kits, etc., and in the same case were two boxes of GP11. They came home with me for $12...a pizza restaurant...go figure!
I have a burris 3x9. A friend bought a rifle at an auction and he didn't want the scope. I gave him 75 bucks for it.
