Default Case ejecting in wrong direction?

Hi all,

OK so I went out to zero in my carbine today and after about 100 rounds fired or so, the empty cases keep ejecting out to the left, and I'm pretty sure that's not normal (don't get me wrong, my left-handed roommate does love the thing for that reason). I've been using the Korean-made mags that have been mentioned over the past few months here. With the 15-round mag I tested with, the majority of my cases ejected in about the 7 or 8 o'clock position. With the 30-round mag, they were all over the place (although I'm pretty sure it's because the spring tension in the mag isn't the same for each round in it, esp. since some seem to just pop out when unloading it, while others I need to push out like normal). The majority still went in about the 8 o'clock direction, but some went to 9 or 10, a few to 12 and 1, and even some with direct hits at 6 o'clock :P. Anyway, just wondering what parts, if any, I can replace to get the empty cases to eject in the correct direction (much to the disappointment of my roommate of course).

Thanks,
Tom

You should check and replace if needed the ejector with the type 3 which was the last type made and you might also check and if needed replace the extractor again with a type 3. The magazines should have little to no influence on the location of the fired rounds.

They should be ejecting straight into your forehead. You must fix this right away.

+1 It sounds like ejector and or extractor problem. All my carbines have ejected 2 O'Clock to 4 O'Clock.

This one came with my SG Winch. Not in Riesch's book. It only shows three.

I recently shot my Inland for the first time, using my low powered reloads, and they made a neat little pile about 3-4 oclock. Then i put in about 10 Aquila and they scattered 8-10 out front from 11-2 oclock. Don't know how much diff brands of factory would make, if any.

Nice to know my Inland carbine is operating within specs. 1" above the right eyebrow.

Mine go down the front of the wife's shirt. She learned real fast to stand on the left.

According to the manual, they should be ejecting forward of the rifle. Try a new ejector and ejector spring.
