Excellent photo show Will4me. Man I wish I could be there when the Krags come out. My grandpa had one. I remember how smooth the bolt action was on it. Did you hear anything about the carbines? One of the store workers told me they had about 3000 but not gone over yet. Selling some on auction of course.

Today FEDEX delivered the rifle I picked out last Thursday. This was at about 1200 so they had been looked over pretty well, shows there were still plenty of good finds. Will post it in the Bolt action section. Hope there are more for this weekend's travelers. Have not done any cleaning yet but here it is:

Was also at the SS store Thursday and came away with a nice Remington 03A3 and a 6 digit FG Garand. Did not plan on the 03A3 but walking thru the door and seeing racks of them tends to change a persons mind. Everything on it is R marked with correct barrel, no rebuild markings, ME 1, TE 2. By the way I meant to check but does anyone know what book Leon was using at the drop off table? It was approx. 4" x 8" and had S/N & build dates.

I came home that day with these. Two SA FGs I'm still breaking down and inventorying parts (some big surprises), an '03A3 drill rifle I got for the C stock and other parts, and a SA receiver serial 480700. I just couldn't pass it up....

They had been putting out 03s since the 4th of July weekend and will still have more this week. The news has been all over the board. I was glad they still had some this weekend as I could not go the week of the 4th. I called late on Friday and was told they had some out for the morning. I think there is always something that is put out for sale. Hurry and you might still be able to buy something there.

I'm planning to make a trip there on Saturday morning, hopefully they'll have an 03a3 in stock.

If you get there around 7:30 and get a good place in line you are almost guaranteed. Remember they are Central time, an hour behind.

My biggest problem was picking 2 from the 4 I initially chose. I think I angered a person there but when you spend over $1,200 bucks you don't want to be rushed.

Turns out any of the 4 would have been a good choice, but I'm a novice w 1903s.

BTW the racks were not empty there were at least 40 or more there when I was looking at mine.
