Default Poor Man's Carbine Oiler

For those of you with Bavarian slings. I made a brass dowel to hold the sling in place. Now don't laugh but I took 2 empty .223 cases. I cut the end off of one and then pressed the two toghether in my vise. I used a plumber's torch to anneal the brass so it wouldn't split. I then debured the joint so it wouldn't harm the leather. It works pretty good and it cost me zero.

Very Cool!

Try something like that with 2 pieces of USGI carbine brass to make it more authentic, like trench art.
