That's a tough one. For example, 576821 and 576824 shipped on 1/20/19 to Governor's Island, NY but most in that SN range went out a month later. Best guess would be 2/7/19 to the Army Reserve Depot in South Schenectady, NY. That's in no way definite but it's where the vast majority went.

You're very welcome.

That is very interesting. Amazing on the 1911a1. My dad was in the Pacific in WW2. If you ever find out more please let me know.

Thanks again.

I'll try to check when I can for sure. Those records are a nightmare for aging eyes and sometimes, the number just isn't there.

You just made my day. That's my late baby sister's birthday and I am so glad to know this. She obviously wasn't born in 1918, but May 13th.

Thank you so much.

After a quick look, I'd bet yours (well the frame anyway) originally went to Ogden Arsenal on 5/9/44. The records are relatively clear in that range so most likely it could be found but it would take a lot of searching and squinting.
Appreciate your time, thanks.

Steve, I actually found your Ithaca in the records. It did indeed ship on August 30, 1943 to Raritan in Ithaca shipment number 56.

If you PM me your email address, I'll send you a copy.

This is great. Thanks for doing this. Can you check my for my Grandpa's Colt 1911? Serial number is 476285. Looks like a 1918 manufacture date according to the Googles.

Went to Bush Terminal, Brooklyn NY but could have been any time between 10/3/18 and 10/29/18 in one of several shipments that month.
