Default Let's See Some Pics!

I need a fix. Let's see some CMP carbine pics. Bavarian, Non-Bavarian...anything. Of course, would really like to see some more flip sight pics.

Here's the IBM RG Bavarian I recieved last week. All parts IBM except the blued finish, slide, buttplate, trigger, mag release, safety, and handguard.
I guess the Germans blued the metal sometime in its life. I'm quite happy with it! Now the wait for the Rocky.
Thanks CMP!

Very nice carbine, bob! I'm so glad we got in on the Bavarian's. Mine, also IBM, is I'm sure, the best example of an early feature carbine I'll ever own.
Now, I wish I'd ordered a few of em! Always hindsight, right?

Thanks Bob. Why do you believe your IBM was graded Rack? So cool that it's mostly IBM.

It was almost painful for me to look at your pics as I've got my IBM Rack Grade Flip wrapped up waiting for Christmas. I've yet to even get a peek at it.

18 days yet!
No idea why it was RG. Muzzle is 2.5-2.75. Don't have a throat guage. Bore is bright. Perhaps because of the German markings?
Not sure of the stock finish. Doesn't look like varnish. Not as "orange" as the pics show. Lots of oil coats? I wonder why they were blued?

I put some of my old trip reports on my web site at http://www.m1collector.com/picturelinks.html. You will see a lot of carbine pictures there.

That is a fantastic link abeal.

I actually live pretty close (a couple hours) from the South Store. I just don't make the trip. Too many other financial obligations....and, I really put together my collection years ago. Last time I made the short drive I just bought cases of 30-06 ammo.

I like the way you described visiting the North Store and seeing all the early feature carbines.
