Too weird, E7. After reassembling and lubricating my little 43 Winnie last night, Which is something I do maybe once a year. I noticed and was concerned about the exact same thing. It was the whole reason for me checking this forum. I suspected the empty chamber was the reason but could not be sure without loading a round. Like now, it was too late in the evening or too early in the morning to be doing that sort of thing. It is a fine firearm that I have had for more than a decade and still do not know much about it or hardly ever shoot. If anyone knows what the born on date is, or what the correct bolt and safety are for a 5636XXX Winnie. I would greatly appreciate them bringing me up to speed. Please pm as apposed to hijacking this thread. Thanks

Mac
