I have shot only Aquila 30 carbine ammo it's not as bad as everyone says it is. Yes it's dirty but you were going to clean your gun anyway right?

As for Prvi Partizan I have not used their 30 carbine (can't seem to find anyone who carries it, if someone knows a place let me know) but I have used their 30-06 and 8mm and both shot very good. It's my personal favorite when it comes to ammo brands.

#1 - LC, only shot it once, at Camp Perry last summer and earned silver with it
#2 - Remington
#3 - UMC
#4 - S&B

Would love to get some LC, but is pricey. I have all the components to reload, just need to do it.

J.R.2009 -- I shot a hundred rounds of Prvi Partizan soft points in my carbine and they functioned flawlessly.

About Aquila -- I read a post elsewhere from a guy having trouble with Aquila not firing due to light strikes. He measured the case lengths and found they were not consistent, and several were below minimum length. I had a bunch of light strikes with Aquila also, but not the other brands. If it works for you fine, but I avoid it now.

I have not had that problem but will spot check all the Aguilla I have and hope to receive.
As for Georgia arms. I have had great luck with their canned heat in 30-06. Of the two cans I have LC and HXP (!) the HXP looks NEW and not reloads. Just what we get from CMP.
Have not tried their carbine reloads yet but may in the near future.

Craftsman- I have shot a few boxes of the federal "american Eagle" carbine food and had no complaints- didn't notice any excessive residue, no bad traits, worked well. Only I don't know about accuracy, I was just shooting for fun.
How about PMC- anybody have any reports on PMC carbine feed? Just picked some up, can't wait to try. I like the PMC .223 ammo, so hopefully its just as good for the .30 Carbine.

Before the election, I stocked up.

Got a couple of cases of Georgia Arms canned heat, which
works very well for range ammo.
Also have used the federal eagle, remington umc and pmc with no problems.

For home defense, my favorite has been the win hollow soft points
until recently when I started using the new Speer gold dot soft points.

I tend to think that a good percentage of problems with new ammo from
reputable makers is due to a dirty or malfunctioning rifle, although the
stories continue about the aguila.

I found the case length for the carbine. I have only two brands to check, Aguilla and Remington. I see that the case. normal factory is 1.28 and a recommended trim length is 1.285.
I checked two rounds from each box, here are the results.
Aguilla:
1.285, 1.285
1.285, 1.285
1.285, 1.284
1.282, 1.286

Remington:
1.285, 1.284
1.285, 1.284
1.285, 1.283
1.286, 1.286
1.284, 1.282
1.286, 1.285

I don't see any problem with either companies ammo. Both fire great in all of my carbines. Checking fired cases, I see no problem there.
