Default M1a1

Ruth says in his book page 286 that type c barell bands were aproved on may 1944. He allso says on page 347 that inland used bayonett bands in the 6 million sn# block.Page 361 shows the second batch of M1A1's were shiped from may to december of 1944. Ending with SN # block 6.5 million or so. I don't see why late feture M1A1's would not have been origonal issue. Including four rivit handguards{started june 1944 page 348],adjustable sights [may 1944 5million sn#] and bayonett lugs. What say you?
