I note the article states the prices are PLUS shipping . . . .

Mark has said the prices INCLUDE shipping.

I will be extremely happy if I am lucky enough to get a service grade as depicted by the photos.

I will be happy if I even get a chance to order one. They expect 75,000 applications

I would gladly pay $1,050 for the pictured service grade Ithaca.

I have seen some estimates of over 100,000 order packets expected. Only 8,000 available makes it real lottery odds.

Was that correct in the video that there is a 1/lifetime limit? I thought I had read one per year? If correct, darn I might just pass on a Rack grade and hope for a Service or Field another year?

In addition to that, there is a lifetime limit of one pistol per qualified buyer and that even applies to the M1911s that go to the CMP’s auction site.

Based on the expected demand of more orders than 1911s available, the effect is 1 per lifetime. There needs to be clarification on what happens to your order and or lottery number if you decline a shipment request. In the situation that you decline a shipment request you may lose your lottery sequence and the net effect being that you go to the end of the line. If there are more orders in line than available pistols then the effect is losing the opportunity to buy. I don't think the info so far has spelled it out this way but that very well could be how it will work.
