I am not concerned with price, but I would like a best guess as to when they will become available. I travel extensively for work, would hate to be out of country when sales open up. Not really expecting an answer, just chiming in on the thread...

Mark,

A few questions for you;

1)Will these receivers used for these M1D specials be compiled from original M1D returns?

2) Will one be allowed to have the choice of opting out of the accessories on a purchase?

3) Will you offer just a barreled receiver?

Thank you in advance for the response.

Picture it... A few years ago, I left the rifle I built in AMC at the Custom shop with a repro (Numrich) mount and they installed it for me. Then I used the Numrich scope ring and a repro scope. Other than the couple specs of dots inside scope, it is a fantastic setup. Specs annoyed me. I did need a little loctite to keep ring on mount but itís fantastic.

How do the CMP repro scopes fare? I replaced my repro with an original M1D scope but I canít get that thing to align no matter what I do to shim her.

$2K sounds reasonable, I'll start saving.

Mark is doing the collector a big favor here NOT building these with Surplus D barrels and USGI mounts they may (or may not) have in their inventory. Think about it for a minute....what makes a D authentic to a LOT of people? That would be CMP paperwork showing that CMP received that rifle as a D from the Army. If CMP starts "manufacturing" Ds with proper barrels and mounts and providing paperwork for them that would be a problem regardless of what they wrote on the certificate.
