World War II Aircraft, Heavy & Light Equipment and History Displays to Dominate D-Day Event at CMP Talladega June 6-9 - TALLADEGA, AL – Memories of the Allied Forces’ invasion on the beaches of Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 will spring to life at the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Talladega Marksmanship Park, starting with an M1 Rifle maintenance clinic, a New Shooter clinic and opening ceremony at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 6.**Rifle and pistol matches will be fired Friday and Saturday and the event concludes with a Vintage Sniper Rifle Team Match and awards Sunday, June 9. Cool write up. This match is on my bucket list. Its proximity to the National Matches makes traveling to both from Camp Perry a challenge, but I'll make it happen one of these years. Especially with all the cool displays, this match is getting harder to miss.

The same for the New England Games. Its hard for me to get to, but that beautiful range at that time of year seems like a can't miss event. One of these years...
