Nothing rare at all on the Bavarian/Austrian Carbines. I have two Bavarians and they both have the Katenton sp? markings. The other markings should be the last four of the Carbine serial number and the other is the number the Austrians gave it.

Oh, my mistake, you are wondering about the receiver having the LGK.
In which case my Underwood has it, my NPM doesn't. Sorry for the confusion.

The marks on bottom of the trigger housing is normal for the Austrian returns and the Bavarians that returned via Austria. The mark on your receiver is not very common, but hardly rare.

If you haven't been here; http://www.bavarianm1carbines.com/Gendarmerie.html
you haven't been paying attention.

FWIW, I have three LGK-marked carbines, all on the bottom of the trigger housing. No marks on my receivers.

I have LGKK 0116 stamped the same way on the receiver and with the last four of the serial number in all of the same locations as yours.

Default LGK stampings on receiver

Seems like the LGKK carbines are stamped on the receiver as well as trig house.
Does anyone have any LGKT or LGKO carbines with the receiver stamped?

The http://www.bavarianm1carbines.com/Gendarmerie.html web site states
"Carbines with the markings of Carinthia have been found to usually have one of two marking configurations." The receiver stamp is not listed as a configuration and the pic shows LGKK 0256.

So I am wondering (along with colreed), if other states stamped the receivers?
And if there are LGKK stamped receivers that are numbered higher than 0256.
It would be nice to know how many have the receiver stamp (maybe less than 256?).

To Fastbuck and Hugh.Sutherland - Thanks, that is the exact info I am seeking.

John1948, thanks for the response and it would be helpful to know which state (LGK_?) and inventory number.

Much thanks.

Gunnyson.
