Default Winchester M1D with FKF M84 Scope??

Looked at a collection of guns yesterday which included 3 Winchesters all with VAR barrels, the interesting one was a M1D Winchester Var Barrel but it had a M84 scope with the Crown and FKF markings embossed on the body of the scope? Had never seen one like that before? Any thoughts? Value?

I have a FKF marked M84 on my M1D. I bought it years ago I think at a local gun show. Works great.

Default Danish M1D FKF scope

Good Day 860306,
A number of the Danish FKF (Forsvarets Krigsmaterial Forvaltning or Defense/War Material Administration) scopes came into the country around 15-20 years ago through companies like Northridge, Southern Ohio and other dealers. Many came in through Canada. The vast majority were M-84 scopes but a very small number of M-82 scope were likewise marked indicating service in the Danish military. Beneath the FKF and crown markings, there should be a number that indicates the serial number of the rifle it was "mated" to by the Danes.

You stated the Winchester M1D had a VAR (Vaabenarsenalet -Arms Arsenal) barrel. Please double check that as I've never read where the HMAK (Hærens Materiel Kommand -Army Materiel Command) or HTK (Hærens Tekniske Korps -Army Technical Corps) issued a directive for a M1D barrel to be produced. Please take lots of pictures if it is VAR marked.

On an aside, a few original Danish M1D stocks were seen with range stickers on the left side of the stock beneath the elevation knob. See if the rifle has remnants of this sticker.

Regards,
Michael

FlightRN, Thanks for the info will post picts this weekend or early next week, I am pretty sure it was a VAR barrel as the guy purchased 8 M1 Garands, they look to be all Danish returns with VAR barrels, & a mixture of PB and USGI parts. He indicated he got them in the mid 60s and he never cleaned and or fired them. They still had some cosmo on them so it was hard to read everything. He had 3 Winchesters and I never even thought to see if one was a -13. He had a 4 digit ser # and that got my attention most. He also had an SA that had the anchor on the rear sight plate. Interesting guns. I will be going through them all.
