Default Garand for $750

I have a chance to buy a Garand for $750. The receiver and the trigger guard are WRA, but all the rest of the parts are SA WWII era except the trigger housing which is an IHC and the rear sights which are of the post war type. The barrel is an SA 12-50. Using the bullet test, it shows between 1\16 and 1\8". I got to shot a 5 shot group with Federal M1 ammo and it did a 3.1". The stock is probably a WWII, no marks except a circle serif P, been sanded and has quite a bit of "character". I probably won't shoot it much, except for local Garand matches, and maybe next year at Perry or Butner, when I become a Grand Senior. I am leaning toward taking it but always worry about resale value. It doesn't look as nice as a SG, maybe more like an FG. What do you think?

Unless it's a welded or reclaimed receiver that's a smoking hot deal!
