Default Official Sniper pic thread...M1D's and C's

Thought it would be nice to have a Sniper specific picture thread..

And because I am beginning the process of building my own.

Post em if you got em...

Default My contribution

I found some older pics. The collection has grown just a little since these were taken.

Regards,

Michael

A previous owner's dope is still taped to the stock.

There are some nice rifles here. The information on the museum piece is interesting. I don't remember reading that in Canfield's book. Here's mine.

Default DCM rifle

My DCM lottery M1D I received in 1996. The accessories were still in the wrap, rifle unissued since rebuild at Tooele Army Depot in April 1969.

Picked the rifle up at the SS back in Oct. and then all the accessories from the NS on 1 Dec. It has a great barrel, ME just over 0 and TE at 1. Plus a bonus of what is left of a SA over GAW, (rifle SN is 2.70), cartouche and the small crossed cannons on the pistol grip along with the rebuild cartouches. Have not shot it yet, but it is first on my list of things to do in the spring once the weather breaks!
