Default Stock

I just purchased an early walnut Overton stock to take the place/interchange with a big fat SAI stock. It is missing itís front ferrule and it looks like the original ferrule was crimped on with the ďhalf-moonĒ style crimps. Iím thinking to get a new ferrule from Fulton or some such place. Then I need to figure out how to replicate the crimp. Iím new to this M14 thing and would appreciate any input from the more experienced among you. Iíve been watching videos and reading but still have many questions. Thanks for your time and patience.
Be well, God bless.

Better than a crimp once you get your new ferule would be a bit of epoxy.

I like to install the action in the stock and epoxy the ferule in place " centered" on the action. Might take a little effort to move the ferule side to side and get thing ready for the epoxy, but in the long run it is more than worth it. You can also, while you are at it move the ferule up or down to provide some draw pressure on the front band.
