Default HXP Crate turned Christmas decoration.. Yep

Wanted to find a good use for the crates that the spam cans came in. With the big spray painted red x I did not really like it for a display so I took one for the team and made something for the wife.

Took a while hand cutting out the stencils (did not want to try and find some pre made).

Masked off the metal trim that I was unable to remove.

After paint I distressed the wood to simulate many years of shipping toy parts or elf shoes.

Wife is happy with the new addition to the decorations. Best part is we can store decorations inside an not worry about abusing it.

That's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

I like that weathered look.

Neat idea. One of my crates on a previous order came painted green with a tan top. It might end up as support for the small Christmas tree.

Cement paver "presents" to hold down the tree in the wind. Looks decent until up close. Lol.

My wife's fruit cake would hold down a ten foot spruce tree in a thirty mile per hour wind
