I asked Criterion a few months ago about producing a M1D barrel, guess I wasn’t the only one.

Mark is doing the collector a big favor here NOT building these with Surplus D barrels and USGI mounts they may (or may not) have in their inventory. Think about it for a minute....what makes a D authentic to a LOT of people? That would be CMP paperwork showing that CMP received that rifle as a D from the Army. If CMP starts "manufacturing" Ds with proper barrels and mounts and providing paperwork for them that would be a problem regardless of what they wrote on the certificate.

I'm allso curious about their release date. Unless someone from CMP releases that info, the only thing to do is check the CMP site every day or so.

I was at the south store and one of the armorers told me criterion is working out the manufacturing process. They’re having problems with the threading on the barrel.

Definitely looking forward to this release as well. A Garand sniper that I would be ok with shooting the absolute BAG out of...?

YES PLEASE!
