Yes, it would be legal. The Novak rear sight may not be the best for the 50 yard slow fire, but all the features on it are allowed under the new rules. The one thing I cannot tell from the specs I've seen, is whether the grips are legal or not, but that is an easy fix, if they don't meet the current rules regarding palm swells, etc.

Interestingly I just got word that my Baer Monolith is legal, assuming trigger pull weight is 4# and it doesn't have any non listed modifications....Not that the extra few ounces is a great advantage...

I don't play this game but I may decide to sign up for some matches...

These service pistol eligible guns that I own now are all better than me today, so if I start with what I own, which should I lean on to start with hoping that I'll eventually catch up with the gun somewhat over time?

9mm Sig P320 X-Five variant
45 Sig P220 Super Match
.45 Glock 21
9mm Glock 34
9mm Glock 17

I assume one of the Sigs? The P220 is solid for me testing the bullseye waters. The P320 is so new to me that all I know for sure is that it is very well balanced and a hoot to shoot. The flared magwell I assume needs to come off the P320 X-Five as that's a variance in the uniformity of the grip for a service pistol? Would the P320 X-Five (as a P320 variant) be service pistol eligible or does this need an approval?

Option three: I could buy a different gun but it would have to be all in under $2000 until I get MUCH better.

Thoughts? Is the P220 Super Match or the P320 X-Five likely ready for me once I step up my game?

Either Sig should work for you. I would check with the CMP about the X-variant, since the rules only state the P320 in 9mm or .40 S&W with no variations. In the meantime, you could use the P220.

I don't own a Ruger, but have taken notice to several write ups about them. The last being a commander sized gun that was pulling 1.5" groups at 25 yards. That is both impressive for a Ruger, and a commander sized gun. I would think the fullsize gun would be better.
