I personally would not ever buy any Korean surplus ammo after a bad experience with corrosive primers in ammo that was supposed to not be corrosive. I'd even done the "bright nail test" (including known corrosive and non corrosive for comparison) but apparently not correctly.

Also the brass was not re-loadable (primer pockets too large).

Here's a post from another forum that lists the bad lots of Korean (see post #10):

Some of the KA stuff is no good too.. My Dad's rifle blew up at a rifle match back about 12 yrs ago using it. Luckily it just crack the stock the whole way thru from the front to clear past the trigger group. We were fortunate enough not have any parts busted up. I won't shoot any Korean ammo. Don't trust it.The rifle was a WWII Springfield M1 Garand.

That is the very first report that I have ever read of any of the KA ammo causing a KB.

All of the intense scrutiny/concern focused upon (and the myriad posts devoted to) the KB Issues with some Lots of the PS Korean ammo 10-15 years ago and never a peep about any such KA KBs.

Make no mistake, m1garand1055, I am not doubting you ... I just find it interesting.

The only reports that I ever read about the KA was that some of it arrived dirty, it sported chlorate primers ... but that it was a bit more accurate than the PS (which I did not find to be true, btw, with the small batch that I acquired for comparison).
