Thumbs up I really look forward to trips to the South Store

Been a few weeks since I have been to the South Store and it seems a lot longer than that.
Me and some buddies plan to hit the store early on Saturday morning and then head to Birmingham for the gun show.
Not really planning to buy much more than some slings but if I run into a nice Anniston M1D I might have to spend one of my precious remaining rifles for the year. I think that one would finally satisfy my craving for M1Ds. Well, we'll see.
The 12 rifles we used to be allowed did not seem like enough to me and the 8 we are allowed now sure make decision-making a lot more stressful.

It should also be interesting to see what is in the Tent Sale.

should be a good long day all around
Rob

Will be heading down on April 21st, a 40-mile side trip on my way to Tuscaloosa. Like you say Rob, ya never know what ya might find. Hopefully some non-drill rifles under a thou will turn up.

Is this Birmingham Gun Show worth a trip from the Atlanta area?

Birmingham show, lol... There's several guys I see at the SS every year buying on Friday, then see them again Saturday morning with the purchases they made Friday on their tables at 50%+ markup. Most still have the cmp hangtags on them. We stop by the SS every year but haven't purchased a rifle since the carbines.

2015 I bought a nice M1917 for $500 at the bham collectors show. Last year I I got a matching bayonet for around $130 that looks musseam quality. It's usually worth my drive from Augusta. One thing it's nice to go to a gun show and just see wall-to-wall milsurps.
