Just a heads up, I worked a deal with Century Arms, Andrew Parmenter works at the actual warehouse, if you e-mail him a request, he will gauge the barrels for sale, and let you know what they have... ( Century actually bought a set of gauges for this purpose) He sent me a SAK 2-69, that gauges less then one...

Buck looks like your bolt and gas tube look about the same as I received also ,I think they may be a bit pricey on some of the parts for what you get,The barrels seem to be the best buy on what they have,Yours looks pretty good also how is the bore on it ?

Any GI chromed barrel with a TE>0 will have chrome peeling in the throat. I'd use commercial barrels unless personally inspected or from a knowledgeable source.

I did not seeing any chrome peeling from the barrel. Rifling looked good, crown was good. Bolt was filthy with caked in sand, grim, and what ever. Clean up good enough though. I bought a new spring kit and all the parts are off for a build.

Default Barrel $$?

The barrel is off with the rest parts for a build. It gauged 0 throat and .5 at muzzle. The finish was well worn. Believe the barrel was also re-crowned at some point and the work was not completed properly. Confident it can be repaired though. All the USGI barrels I saw for sale were pricey. I may go with a 19.25" Bula barrel on the next rifle build. Hope that helps. Good luck

I asked because I used the century barrel prices as the basis for pricing the one I put in the for sale section, and apart from a few questions have had no luck selling so far. But its only been up a day or so.
