Don't have a thread pitch gauge, but it's something like 10-40. Check on the Remington forum on Rimfire Central.

just came across this, have you found what you needed? I will be working on one of my 513's this week and can gauge the threads if you still need it?

Did you ever get a definitive answer?

No I'm rotating through projects... coming back round to this late spring. Right now I'm working on a few other milsurps.

5/16 32 in the ones I have. The rail is 4 1/8 inches long with 6 threaded holes.

Thank you ... I picked up a expanded pitch gauge a few weeks ago. Has a lot more on it than the basic one that came with my tap and die set.
I no longer have a decent machine shop around me to help with these the things.
I used to have a small shop near my work that was awesome.
They packed up and moved to Texas....I miss those guys.
If it involved cutting metal they knew what to do.
