I received my first Garand in 1958, in San Diego, courtesy of the USMC. I traded it in for a M14 and finally a M16. Finally returned to my native state of California and was discharged in 1969. (Got tired of playing for a tie in Vietnam).

No more firearms in my life until 2013 when I purchase a new Beretta FS92. Got the bug and customized it a bit.

When I learned about the CMP offering Garands I jumped at the chance to own one. Luck would have it I scored on a pristine factory correct (except stock) Harrington & Richardson, delivered to my door.

I know you are going to enjoy your new friend. Be careful though, owning history can become addictive.

Good shooting, may you kill much cardboard.
