Stocks I purchased last month appeared new, never issued. However, they were improperly stored and the stock metal was heavily rusted. You can kind of see it with the orange brown butt plate in the picture you linked to...

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering about that. Good thing I have a few new spare buttplate assemblies knocking around. I figure for $25 shipped I couldn't get hurt too bad...

I ordered one with some other parts and had the same experience, rusted butt plate. Hoping it can be salvaged

Good info. Are these stocks drop in ready or do they need bedding?

I'd like to get one to try my hand at a camo paint job.

Thanks, Rich

Some folks find the front end to be too thin and flex too much, so there are a lot of approaches on the internet to stiffen the stock - carbon fiber, aluminum or just bedding compound.

Got mine today, butt plate is stuck and all the metal has rust. Going to start checking into derust solutions, but it appears to be straight and solid.

Yeah, the one in those pics is total junk to me, I'd save my 20 dollars.
