Drc's had finer clicks. I swapped them out with the springfields. I also swapped on a HRA sight base just because. Thanks for all the info.

Long time ago... President Nixon declared we would all switch to the metric system. Speed limit signs were changed to KPH, etc. No one wanted to do that and it died soon after. I don't remember ever shooting on a military rifle range that was set up for meters, only yards. There may have been some, but I never shot on one. That's only one of the reasons we count clicks instead of using the ranges indicated on the knobs. That and the markings are not accurate enough for serious shooting. They were designed for approximate battle distances when shooting minute of 55 gallon drum or the enemy. Which ever presented the greatest threat...

Interesting. I always wondered why we did adopt the metric system.
