Default speer 125 TNT loading

Somebody posted some loads for the Speer 125 Gr. TNTs for use in the CMP Garand Matches.

Been searching for a couple days and cant find the write up.

Anyone have a link or accurate data for shooting the Match at 100-200 yards?

I second what that GarandGrabber guy says. 125's are all I've shot for the last couple of years w/ 48-50 grains of the previously mentioned powders.

Use a good manual such as recent Speer or Lyman. I use an appropriate powder and try for 2900 fps. The 125gr TNT usually works well in 30-06 and .308win out to 300yds. There is a velocity limit around 3200fps....and they will disintegrate if pushed too hot. Good Shooting. ...

What Ceresco said does happen. I have seen the various plastic tip bullets just self destruct en route if pushed too hard.. Ceresco got me shooting 110s that is another subject for another day but have been well pleased with them in reduced course matches.

You folks are shooting way too many TNTs. You're causing them to be on backorder.
