Why was this considered a rack grade? That's a nice looking rifle!

Don't know... it's at least a field grade. It's the main advantage of going to the store in person.

Default What to expect

Hey! I just finished the AMC class and the class got to go to the store on tuesday. There was a few rack grades there. Only two of us bought rack grades. I put back a USMC rebuild, dated 66. The other gentleman in the class was very happy about that and got it. I would have got it but it was the 1st one I looked at and I put it back. I did get a 5.9 million that wasn't all that bad and it even had lock bar sights on it. I shot it today at the new range. Boy is that place very very nice, but that is another story. Just thought I would give you guys a heads up. We took two and there was about 5 left. Wanted another one but hey I had already spent enough this week. The AMC Class ROCKS! I learned a lot and I really enjoyed it.

Good luck guys.
Clay

Oh man You had a Marine Corp Rebuild and put it back
These are not very common and quite a find if you can get one.
Nice of you to pass it on to the next guy. A 5.9 is also quite a find. You are indeed a lucky guy. And you got to take the course
That is on my bucket list, for sure.
It does sound like you had a GREAT time in Anniston.

That color looks like it may have been thru a rebuild at one of the arsenals. Any chance it has an etching on the right side leg of the receiver?

Rob, that o-66 ended up in the right hands. (USMC ret.) I appreciate Carl putting it down so I could get it. TE of 7 isn't the best, but I'll take it! Pat
